Senior Reserves – played a great game with the lead changing constantly, unfortunately Greytown held their nerve to score a late try to seal the game 29-22. Senior A’s – a valiant effort by the team but Greytown too strong. We were in it at half time only down by 6 points but a Greytown continued to score try’s when needed to keep Marty at bay. Final score 44-19 Greytown.
Martinborough Rugby Football Club was established in 1904.
The club has celebrated many successes, notably its centenary in 2004. The club has a proud history and a strong presence in the Wairarapa, especially in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Over the years the club has enjoyed a selection of teams ranging from Senior A’s, Reserves, Thirds, Under 20’s, JAB’s and a Women’s team.
